We have interviewed the cast members so you can get to know them better. Meet Chris Levens!
What is your role in ‘Disturbance’?
My roles in Disturbance are the Detective who first arrives on the murder scene. I also play the Priest who is giving the sermon at the funeral for the deceased family. I also play a neighbor in the community.
What attracts you about ‘Disturbance’?
I’m attracted to the reality of the story and the different roles that played a part in this reality. I’m attracted to the boldness of putting a serious issue out to remind us yes it’s happening and it could be you or someone you know.
What are some of your favourite staged performances you’ve ever seen or been in?
Wow this is a hard question to answer. I can say for the shows I have seen, I really enjoyed The Color Purple the musical. I love the book and movie and the musical was just another component to show another side of the story. It was really powerful to watch as a musical. Also, Miss Saigon, it was the first Broadway show of my life and impacted me so. As for shows I have done I would have to say Gold Rush by David Armstrong and Songs For A New World by Jason Robert Brown. Gold Rush started my Broadway Career and Songs For a New World was just so amazing to be a part of and to perform in Tokyo.
Anything else you want to tell us about?
I love music and the theater and also love teaching voice and coaching artist/students. Family and friends are important to me and sometimes they give me the power to continue on when I feel I have depleted my own. Thank you all for the constant support and love you always give me. This show is for all of you.
